Product Development and Engineering

Tech Products begins the product development process by generating a hierarchy of the specific design elements essential for your product. Performance goals and objectives are defined to meet all of your requirements. Brainstorming commences to generate creative new ideas to solve any difficult design problems and drive innovation. This set of ideas is then evaluated on a list of weighted criteria to focus the design for all critical elements. Tech Products employs our expertise, vision, and ingenuity combined with state of the art technology to provide unique and comprehensive solutions for your product. Tech Products is distinctive in the way we design, prototype, and manufacture a finished product all within one facility.

CAD - Computer Aided Design

The overall concept development begins with a Solid 3D model to give you a visual representation of your product. During this creative process, we modify these drawings and illustrations until we meet your specifications. Photo realistic renderings provide an inexpensive way to visualize the final product, and make quick and cost effective design modifications. We make sure the customer's requirements and expectations are exceeded on every project.

Stress Analysis and Simulations

Computerized stress analysis is a quick and cost effective way to test the structural integrity of a product on the computer. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is used to identify and solve potential problems while actively pursuing product enhancements. A 3D solid virtual prototype can be subjected to various loads, pressures, and restraints. The resultant stresses, strains, and displacements of the part can be evaluated to pursue weight and size reduction, increased rigidity, greater fatigue life, and vibration control. Motion studies can also be accomplished on complex assemblies with interconnected moving parts.

Design for Manufacture

Tech Products manufactures a majority of the products we design. Therefore we employ a design strategy to keep the fundamentals of the ideal manufacturing processes needed for each component paramount during the design process. A complete analysis of the manufacturing design factors enables a smooth transition from the computer screen to the machine shop. Thus reducing manufacturing time and costs without sacrificing design integrity.
